District Magistrate Mr. Rajesh Dhiman IAS In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Criminal Code, 1973 , for sale , storage and use of strings made of nylon/synthetic/plastic (threads with glass powder) yarn for blowing pantags/dolls in District Ferozepur. Totally banned .
He said that it was brought to his attention by the Additional Principal Chief Forest Officer (CFO) and Chief Wildlife Warden , Punjab SAS Nagar that the ropes being used for flying kites/dolls these days. , they are made of Nylon/Chinese/Synthetic/Plastic ( threads with glass powder) and are very strong , non-dissolving and unbreakable. This door cuts the hands and fingers of the kite/doll flyers while kite flying. Bike and scooter drivers get cut off their mouths and ears and there are many incidents of them dying after being entangled by flying birds. Thus, this string made of nylon/synthetic/plastic (threads with glass pounder) when used for flying kites is fatal to human life and birds. Keeping these facts in mind, there is an urgent need to take steps to stop the sale , storage and use of nylon/synthetic/plastic (glass powder coated threads) doors for use in kites. These orders will remain in force till March 31 , 2024 .
