Punjab’s Unyielding Stand Against Corruption

Mann Government’s Anti-Corruption Drive: Zero Tolerance for Corruption in Punjab

Fighting Corruption with Transparency and Accountability

The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has embarked on an aggressive anti-corruption campaign since taking office in March 2022. A key component of this initiative is the launch of the Anti-Corruption Helpline, aimed at providing the people of Punjab with a safe and accessible platform to report corruption.

Citizens can reach the helpline at 9501 200 200 or through the toll-free number 1800-1800-1000, where they can submit audio or video evidence of corruption or bribery. The Punjab Government has guaranteed the confidentiality of all complaints, ensuring a safe environment for citizens to report misconduct and become active participants in the fight against corruption.

This initiative has yielded significant outcomes, with 724 arrests made so far under the anti-corruption campaign. The Vigilance Bureau has played a pivotal role in capturing corrupt officials, demonstrating the Punjab Government’s firm commitment to holding offenders accountable and ensuring swift legal action.

In addition to enforcement, the Punjab Government is making concerted efforts to raise awareness about corruption prevention. Regular seminars and workshops are being conducted across the state to educate citizens about their rights and how they can actively contribute to eradicating corruption. The aim is to cultivate a culture of transparency and accountability, with the ultimate goal of making corruption a thing of the past.

The Anti-Corruption Helpline has proven to be a vital instrument in the Punjab Government’s strategy for good governance, enabling citizens to directly contribute to the campaign. By encouraging the public to report corrupt practices, the Mann Government is steadfast in its pursuit of a corruption-free Punjab, focused on justice, fairness, and progress for all.
