The plastic collected during this drive was sent to the MRF center at Gate 21 by Municipal Corporation Patiala under the proper management of Sanitary Inspector Rajesh Mattu. He said that single-use plastics such as polythene envelopes, plastic cups, plates, spoons and other disposables are banned by the government and fines are imposed on their manufacture, storage, sale and use.
