Jagraon/Ludhiana, February 06 (Punjab khabarnama) : In order to give the benefit of government schemes to the citizens under the ‘Aap’ Di Sarkar, Aap De Door’ program by the Punjab Government in sub division Jagraon, Municipal Council Jagraon Ward No. 1 to 6 today. Camps were set up at different places.
On the first day of the camps, Constituency MLA Ms. Sarvjit Kaur Manunke and Mr. Gurbir Singh Kohli, PCS. The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Jagraon inspected the camp sites and encouraged the citizens attending the camps to make maximum use of the government facilities.
On this occasion, MLA Manunke said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had promised when the government was formed that his Aam Aadmi Party government would go door-to-door to ensure the benefits of government schemes to the people, which started with Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jagraon. Today, camps have been set up in various wards of the Municipal Council where the officials/employees of various departments have provided facilities to the citizens present. He said that it was only because of the high thinking of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan that for the first time people are getting the facilities of government schemes in their homes. Ms. Manunke appealed to the people of Jagraon Assembly Constituency to reach these camps and benefit as much as possible.
During the camps, 44 applications were received for production of various documents and 8 complaints were received, which have been forwarded to the concerned departments for immediate disposal. Apart from this, disability certificate was issued to 2 persons and old age pension to 1 beneficiary.
On this occasion, Mr. Gurbir Singh Kohli, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jagraon said that there was great enthusiasm among the people during the camps held today and the residents of the city reached these camps to get their work done. He said that tomorrow on February 07 Ward No. 7 Dharamshala Baba Jorawar Singh, near Agwar Rada, Jagraon, Ward No. 8 Dharamshala Bhagat Ravidas Mohalla Bassian Jagraon, Ward No. 9 Dharamshala Balmik Chungi No. 7, Jagraon, Ward No. 10 Gurdwara Ajitsar near Ajit Nagar. Raikot Road, Jagraon, Ward No. 11 Agwad Dala, Near Baba Nirmal Ji Jagraon, Ward No. 12 Gurdwara Baba Nanakpura Morigate Jagraon will be camped.
BDPO in today’s camps Jagraon Krishnapal IAS, Tehsildar Sukhcharan Singh, Naib Tehsildar Vinod Kumar, Manjit Singh BDPO. Siddwan Bet, Karja Sadhaka Officer Municipal Council Jagraon Sukhdev Singh Randhawa, Executive President of Municipal Council Amarjit Singh Malwa, Karamjit Kanth, Raj Bhardwaj, Happy Lohat, Kuldeep Singh Komal, Paramjit Singh Taneja, S.K. Khanna, Harjit Singh and others were present.
