29 December 2025 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau : Over 50 lakh devotees paid obeisance during the three-day annual Shaheedi Sabha to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Sahibzadas Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, who were bricked alive, here. Though the event concluded on Saturday, lakhs of devotees thronged the Fatehgarh Sahib gurdwara on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference, Deputy Commissioner Dr Sona Thind and SSP Subham Aggarwal said the CM, Governor, Cabinet Ministers, Vidhan Sabha Speaker and several other VIPs visited the town to pay obeisance at the historic gurdwaras and it was challenging to provide security amid a huge rush of devotees. They said no untoward incident was reported during the three-day event. The SSP said drones and CCTV cameras helped cops in traffic management.
