Ludhiana April 02 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The district administration on Tuesday conducted a training workshop for the Flying Squad Teams (FSTs) (both civil & police) to ensure strict compliance of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in all 14 assembly segments of the district. The workshop was held in local Bachat Bhawan.

As per details, a total of 126 FSTs, nine in each assembly constituency (AC), are operational in Ludhiana district. Each FST comprises four personnel from different departments, working round the clock to maintain constant vigilance and security. The FST teams are required to submit daily reports on the action taken against any violators of the MCC. The FST teams work in different shifts, 24 hours a day. The complaint lodged on the C-VIGIL app is transferred by the Returning Officer to the Flying Squad team. The team then gets the location of the complaint and needs to resolve it within 100 minutes.

The members of FSTs were given detailed presentations about their duties and responsibilities, including the functioning of the C-VIGIL app. They were asked to ensure that the complaints received on the app are disposed off at the earliest and action is also taken against any MCC violation encountered by the FST to make it a huge success.
