Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, March 7 (Punjab khabarnama) : Mohali City will soon get High Tech CCTVs and state of the Art Command Control Centre as assured by the Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann to MLA SAS Nagar Mohali, Kulwant Singh during the Question Hour, in Punjab Legislative Assembly, the previous day.
Detailing the information, MLA SAS Nagar Kukwant Singh said that as per the assurance given by the Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, who also happens to be the Home Minister of the state, the Mohali City would get Hi-tech cameras on the busy intersections as well as a Command Control Centre by September 2024. MLA further said that the Punjab government has already reserved funds to the tune of Rs 15 Crore for the completion of the project.
He said that setting up the High-tech CCTVs on the pattern of Chandigarh at intersections of city roads and other key places for the safety of people and smooth running of traffic in Mohali city will curb the incidents of theft and robbery in the city by increasing the safety of women, children and every peace-loving resident thereby reducing the workload on the police force, decrease in road accidents and help the police to punish the violators of traffic rules. The system would introduce Automatic challan through cameras, which will also reduce the cases of violating traffic rules and chaos on city roads.
