10 october 2024 : Diljit Dosanjh, currently on his Dil-Luminati World Tour in Europe, paused his concert in Germany on Tuesday night to pay tribute to Indian industrialist Ratan Tata, who had passed away earlier that day. A video of Diljit speaking about Tata from the stage has gone viral.
In the video, Diljit addresses the crowd, saying in Punjabi and Hindi, “You all know Ratan Tata. He has passed away, and I want to pay tribute to him. Throughout his life, he worked hard, and I never heard of him speaking ill of anyone. He always focused on doing good and helping others.”
Reflecting on Tata’s life, Diljit added, “This is what life is about. If we can take anything from his life, it’s the importance of hard work, good thoughts, and helping others. He lived a life without blemish.”
Diljit has been touring for weeks across the US and Europe and will soon bring his Dil-Luminati Tour to India, starting with shows in Delhi on October 26-27, followed by performances in multiple Indian cities through December.
Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Group, passed away at 86 on Wednesday night at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he had been in intensive care since Monday.
