12 september 2024 : Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan visited Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora’s home following the death of their father, Anil Mehta, on Wednesday. According to India Today, Kareena has canceled her promotional event scheduled for September 12 in Mumbai due to this tragedy. The event, set to take place at Lido Cinemas in Juhu Tara Road, has been postponed.
Kareena is preparing for the release of her film The Buckingham Murders, directed by Hansal Mehta, which also stars Ranveer Brar, Rukku Nahar, and Ash Tandon, and is set to premiere on September 13.
Kareena, a close friend of Malaika and Amrita, frequently appears with them at social gatherings. Along with her sister Karisma Kapoor, she has been a supportive presence for the Arora sisters during this difficult time. Following Anil Mehta’s passing, Kareena and Karisma visited the Arora family and stayed with them throughout the day, leaving late at night. The family was also seen departing the residence in separate cars.
Mumbai police have reported that Anil Mehta’s death appears to be a suicide, and an investigation is ongoing. The police and forensics teams are examining all aspects of the case.
