30 july 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau  : The Indian rupee appreciated 13 paise to 95.63 against the U.S. dollar in early trade on Wednesday, supported by positive domestic market sentiment and steady foreign fund inflows.

Currency traders said the rupee gained strength despite continued volatility in global markets, with investors closely tracking crude oil prices, geopolitical developments and the movement of the U.S. dollar.

Positive Domestic Sentiment

A firm opening in domestic equity markets and improved investor confidence helped support the rupee during early trading.

Market participants said stable capital inflows and a favourable risk appetite contributed to the currency’s appreciation.

Global Factors Continue to Influence Movement

Despite the gains, analysts noted that global uncertainties—including crude oil prices, U.S. monetary policy and geopolitical tensions—remain key drivers of the rupee’s performance.

Any sharp movement in the U.S. dollar or oil prices could influence the currency later in the trading session.

Crude Oil Remains a Key Watchpoint

India’s dependence on crude oil imports makes the rupee particularly sensitive to changes in global energy prices.

Higher oil prices typically increase import costs and put pressure on the domestic currency, while softer prices tend to provide support.

Outlook

Currency experts expect the rupee to trade within a narrow range during the day, with investors monitoring foreign institutional investment flows, domestic equity performance and international market developments.
