9 july 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau  :  The Akal Takht has announced that a special Ardas (Sikh prayer) will be held at Harike Pattan for the well-being, guidance, and spiritual upliftment of Sikh youths. The initiative aims to encourage young people to remain connected with Sikh values, traditions, and community service.

Religious leaders said the prayer gathering is intended to inspire Sikh youth to lead disciplined lives rooted in the teachings of the Sikh Gurus while staying away from social evils such as drug abuse, violence, and other harmful influences.

Focus on Youth Welfare

The Ardas will bring together members of the Sikh community, religious scholars, and devotees to collectively pray for the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of young people.

According to Sikh leaders, the event is part of broader efforts to strengthen the connection between the younger generation and Sikh heritage, while promoting values of compassion, honesty, and selfless service.

Call to Preserve Sikh Values

Religious authorities have appealed to Sikh youths to actively participate in religious activities, engage in community service, and deepen their understanding of Sikh history and teachings.

The gathering is also expected to emphasize the importance of unity within the Sikh community and encourage young people to contribute positively to society.

Community Participation Encouraged

Devotees from different parts of Punjab and neighbouring states are expected to attend the Ardas at Harike Pattan. Organisers have invited families, religious institutions, and community organisations to participate in the event and support initiatives aimed at youth development.

Community leaders believe such gatherings help reinforce spiritual values while providing guidance to younger generations facing modern-day social and personal challenges.

A Message of Unity and Hope

The Akal Takht has described the event as a collective prayer for peace, harmony, and the brighter future of Sikh youth. Religious leaders hope the initiative will motivate young people to embrace education, ethical living, and active participation in community welfare.

The Ardas is expected to serve as a reminder of the Sikh faith’s emphasis on resilience, equality, and service to humanity, while encouraging the younger generation to uphold these ideals in everyday life.
