18 May 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau  :  Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday paid obeisance at Takht Sri Patna Sahib during his visit to Bihar, drawing attention from devotees and political observers alike. The visit carried spiritual and cultural significance as Takht Sri Patna Sahib is one of the holiest shrines in Sikhism and the birthplace of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Bhagwant Mann arrived at the revered gurdwara complex amid tight security arrangements and was welcomed by Sikh religious leaders and members of the local sangat. During his visit, the Punjab Chief Minister bowed before the Guru Granth Sahib, participated in religious prayers, and sought blessings for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people of Punjab.

Officials accompanying the Chief Minister said Mann spent considerable time inside the gurdwara premises and interacted with devotees and management representatives. He also praised the spiritual importance and historical legacy of Takht Sri Patna Sahib, describing it as a sacred place deeply connected to Sikh heritage and identity.

Addressing media persons after the visit, Mann said that visiting Takht Sri Patna Sahib always brings a sense of spiritual peace and inspiration. He noted that Takht Sri Patna Sahib attracts devotees from across India and abroad and serves as a major center of faith and devotion.

Religious leaders present at the shrine welcomed the Punjab Chief Minister and appreciated his visit to the sacred site. They said such visits strengthen the emotional and spiritual bond between Sikh communities living in different parts of the country. Members of the Takht management also presented the Chief Minister with a traditional siropa as a mark of सम्मान and blessings.

Devotees gathered at the shrine expressed enthusiasm during Mann’s visit. Several people were seen greeting the Chief Minister and seeking photographs with him inside the complex. Security officials maintained strict arrangements to ensure smooth movement within the premises without disturbing regular religious activities.
