Tarn Taran, September 10: Civil Surgeon of Tarn Taran, Dr. Gurpreet Singh Rai, has announced that arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth functioning of OPD services at all district government health institutions due to the ongoing strike by PCS doctors. This is to ensure that patients do not face any difficulties.
Dr. Rai stated that emergency health services are continuing efficiently and surgeries for patients in need are also being conducted. He emphasized that check-ups and vaccination services for pregnant women and children are being provided effectively, and routine services in hospitals are being maintained. Dr. Rai himself is overseeing these arrangements.
Considering the situation, the Civil Surgeon has also called a special meeting with senior medical officers of the district and provided directives to ensure that patient health services are maintained at all levels so that patients do not face any difficulties. Additionally, he mentioned that ongoing health programs should be continued to benefit patients. It is noteworthy that duties related to doctors’ jail duties, VIP duties, sports duties, and CAMP activities will continue as usual.
