9 september 2024 : Vikas Sethi, the renowned television actor known for his roles in “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and “Kasauti Zindagi Kay,” passed away at the age of 40 on Sunday due to a heart attack. His sudden death has shocked fans, who have expressed their grief on his last Instagram post.
Vikas’s final Instagram post, dated May 12, was a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute. The post features him in a green kurta with his mother, Surekha Sethi, and includes a caption reading, “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY.. ❤❤ MOM LOVE YOU,” accompanied by the song “Mumma” by Kailash Kher from the film Dasvidaniya.
Fans flooded the post with messages of condolence, expressing disbelief and sorrow over his passing. Comments included references to his iconic roles and heartfelt tributes, such as “I still remember the role of Kookoo (heartbreak emoji) Rip boss,” and “Too young to die! It breaks my heart! May your soul rest in peace.”
Vikas, who was last seen in Sasural Simar Ka, passed away in Nashik while attending a family function. His wife, Jhanvi Sethi, shared that he had been ill with vomiting and loose motions but refused to go to the hospital, preferring a home visit from the doctor. He was found dead in his sleep due to cardiac arrest.
His body has been sent for postmortem at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, and the last rites are scheduled for Monday. Vikas leaves behind his wife and their twin sons. Besides his television career, he also appeared in the 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, where he played Robbie, a friend of Poo (Kareena Kapoor).
