April 29 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Continuing the campaign against drugs for the last few days, the police of Sahnewal police station has arrested another drug dealer. Jasveer Singh, in-charge of Sahnewali police station outpost Kanganwal Sahnewal, said that 7 grams of heroin has been recovered from the arrested person, who has been identified as Arun Kumar, son of Dharminder Kumar, resident of New Smart Colony Giyaspura.
SHO Jasveer Singh told that the above mentioned person has been addicted to drugs for the last 2 years and now he has started selling drugs to fulfill his addiction. Accused Arun Kumar used to supply to his customers in Kanganwal area. The police had been following him for a long time and now he was seen walking near the Kanganwal cremation ground. When the police signaled him to stop, he immediately tried to run away and the police party arrested him. During this, 7 grams of heroin was recovered from his pocket. He has been arrested, presented in the honorable court and further interrogation is being done after obtaining police remand.
