Giving more information in this regard, Dr. Kavita Singh, Executive Civil Surgeon Fazilka said that if any pregnant woman and child up to 5 years of age dies during pregnancy, death during childbirth and any child up to 5 years of age except after 42 days of delivery. If there is a death due to the cause, the health department conducts a maternal death review meeting to investigate the cause.
He said that in this meeting the treating doctor, colleagues and family members of the deceased are definitely included so that the coma is thoroughly analyzed so that the cause of death can be thoroughly investigated and the future. Any such situation can be dealt with so that death can be prevented. He said that after the meeting, a staff meeting is held and the staff is also instructed so that this type of deficiency does not happen again. In the meeting, information was given to NM and Asha worker about high risk pregnancy of pregnant women and care and vaccination of newborn child at home.
