Preparations and competitions of the state level Basant Mela being organized by the Punjab government are going on in full swing by the district administration. On the occasion of the main event on 10th and 11th February , the cultural program will be the center of special attraction. Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Mr. Rajesh Dhiman came to a meeting of cultural committee to present this program in a proper manner . A. Under the guidelines of S District Public Relations Officer Amrik Singh and Nodal Officer Culture Committee Dr. It was held under the leadership of Satinder Singh National Awardee , in which film artist and stage manager Harinder Bhullar , Ravi Inder Singh State Awardee , Sarabjit Singh Bhavra , Balkar Gill , Pratt Gill , Tarsem Arman etc. committee members participated.
District Public Relations Officer Amrik Singh said that the cultural program will be the center of attraction during the state-level Basant Mela in which world famous singer Amrit Maan , Jagjit Jiti and other high caliber artists are participating . Singers Kawaljit Singh Jaila Sandhu , Harinder Bhullar , Gurnam Sidhu , Kamal Darawad , Lankesh Darawad , Chand Bajaj, folk singer Prakash Gill , lyricist and singer Balkar Gill , Bohar Gill Manewalia , Manveer Jhok , Satish Kumar Talwandi Bhai will perform their art . Apart from singing, traditional folk dances will also be performed from the stage .
Dr. Satinder Singh said that it is a matter of great pride for the people of Ferozepur that the proud festival of Ferozepur is being celebrated at the state level by the district administration this time. This state-level Basant Mela is a joint fair of all the people of Ferozepur and it will give a special opportunity to the budding artists of Ferozepur , they will also showcase their art in different arts like folk dance , folk song , folk music , group dance. , Choreography , Mimicry etc. The various schools, colleges and dance academies are specially invited to bring their budding artists to this fair so that they can get an opportunity to present their hidden art to the public.
On this occasion Ashok Bahl Secretary Red Cross , Dr. Gajalpreet Singh Registrar , Shalinder Kumar , Deepak Sharma , Charanjit Singh and Rahul Charia , Gurpreet Singh, Rahul Agarwal were specially present .
