On the occasion of the 75th Republic Day of the country on January 26, the Governor of Punjab Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit will perform the national flag hoisting ceremony during the state level event to be held at the Raja Bhalindra Singh Sports Complex Polo Ground in Patiala. This information was given by Patiala Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni to SSP here today. After reviewing the full dress rehearsal of this event along with Varun Sharma. He said that the Governor of Punjab Hon’ble Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit will inspect the parade after hoisting the national flag on this occasion and will give his message to the people of Punjab. Later, the Governor of Punjab will also take salute from the grand march past.
The Deputy Commissioner said that 17 units will participate in this parade, one unit of ITBP, five units of Police Recruits Training Center PAP. of Jalandhar, two units RTC. PAP The women’s wing has one troop of Home Guards (female and male). Apart from this, the NCC along with the Rajasthan Police contingent. Air Wing, NCC Army Wing, NCC Girls Battalion, Red Cross St. John Ambulance, Scouts and Girl Guides, Patiala School of Blyde’s children’s troop apart from Punjab Armed Police Jalandhar’s Pipe Band, Brass Band and IRB. Bands will join. The parade was led by the parade commander ACP. Vaibhav Chaudhary and Second Parade Commander Satveer Singh will do it. He said that after the march pass, tableaus showing the development works will be taken out by various departments and cultural programs will be presented by school children.
He said that in this cultural program Government Girls Senior Secondary School Old Police Line, Government Model School Philkhana, Victoria Girls Senior Secondary School, Government Girls Senior Secondary School New Power House Colony, Government Multipurpose Girls Senior Secondary School Model Town, Government Model Senior Secondary A presentation will be made by the students of School Civil Lines. On this occasion, a presentation of various sports will also be made by the District Sports Officer as part of the Sports Homeland Punjab.
Along with this, there will be motorcycle duties. Students of Government Mahindra College, Government Multipurpose Senior Secondary School, School of Eminence Philkhana and Government Senior Secondary School Civil Lines will perform Bhangra and Government College Girls, Mahindra College, Government Bikram College, Civil Lines, Anardana Chowk and Government School Sunori Gate Patiala will perform Bhangra. The students will perform folk dance Gidhe.
The Deputy Commissioner said that on this occasion the Governor of Punjab Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit will specially honor the freedom fighters and will distribute sewing machines to the needy. On this occasion, personalities who have done commendable work in various fields will also be honoured. At the end of the ceremony, the National Anthem will be sung.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with the officials of various departments regarding the arrangements of the event and said that the preparations have been completed for the successful implementation of this event. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner invited all the residents of the district to participate in this state level event.
Meanwhile, SSP Varun Sharma said that adequate security arrangements have been made for the Republic Day events. He said that SPs and DSPs of the district are monitoring the security.
He said that smooth traffic arrangements have also been ensured, so that no one has to face any problem.
