16 july 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau  : The Election Commission of India (ECI) has revised the timeline for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Punjab and Delhi. The changes are aimed at providing additional time for the completion of various stages of the voter-list revision process.

The revised schedule will cover activities including the verification of electoral details, submission of claims and objections, and the publication of updated electoral rolls.

What Is SIR?
