March 14 (Punjab khabarnama): Shreyas Iyer is currently participating in the Ranji Trophy final against Vidarbha and he scored a brilliant 95 runs in the second innings.India’s star batsman Shreyas Iyer was in the news last month for reasons both on and off the field. Iyer was dropped from the Indian team without any explanation after the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam in February.Following this he was dropped from BCCI central contracts; Iyer complained of back pain after the second Test but the NCA considered him fit.After being left out of the annual contract list, Iyer joined the Mumbai squad in the domestic first-class tournament, following the BCCI’s order on players’ participation in the Ranji Trophy. He remained a part of the playing eleven as Mumbai faced Vidarbha in the final this week.
