Rana Daggubati

New Delhi, December 13, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau) – Rana Daggubati has won the hearts of the audience through The Rana Daggubati Show. In this show, he is seen having fun conversations with the big stars of Indian cinema. The show is getting more amazing with each episode. Fans are loving its interesting conversations, fun moments and Rana’s special connection with his guests which is often not seen in other talk shows.

In the latest episode, viewers get a closer look at the creative process of two legendary filmmakers, SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma. The two share their experiences of working on Rajamouli’s Baahubali. They have interesting conversations about the journey and impact of this two-part pan-India film.

Talking about this, Rana said, “Baahubali took ten years of my life, an entire era. We realized its true importance only when it ended. At that time, we were doing our best work, learning from whoever inspired us. Life has never been the same since then.”

The episode also featured veteran director Ram Gopal Varma, who last worked with Rana on the critically acclaimed thriller Department. The two directors, who have very different mindsets, working styles and filmographies, spoke openly about their creativity, making the episode extremely interesting.

Rajamouli explained how he creates his characters and stories. He said, “The books you read, the films you watch, and the discussions that happen around you, all of these keep accumulating inside you like lava. Then at the right time, they explode in the form of an idea.”

Ram Gopal Varma said that he gets inspiration from real life experiences. He shared the story of a gangster who expressed his feelings in anger after the death of his brother. Varma said, “I understood that for gangsters power is everything, even their grief comes out in the form of anger. I love turning real life events into stories.”

Varma shocked the audience when he revealed that the inspiration for his popular film company came not from dangerous underworld dons but from a feud he had with film maker Krishna Vamsi. “Whether it is the underworld or a film company, the ego battles are the same,” he said.

Rajamouli spoke with great respect about the people who inspired him. He said about Mr. NTR, “I have great respect for him not just as an actor but also as a director; he was really amazing. His impact as an actor was so deep that sometimes his directorial work is not as visible.” Apart from this, Rajamouli also considered personalities outside cinema like Kurien Varghese and Lal Bahadur Shastri as his inspiration and felt very small in front of their work and inspiration.

Rajamouli said that even though he shares a close bond with his family, work comes first. “When we are working, we tend to forget that we are connected to each other,” he said.
