8 October 2024 : Punjab’s initiative, ‘CM Di Yogshala,’ is promoting yoga widely across the state. As part of this program, yoga classes are being conducted in various districts, helping people overcome physical and mental ailments. Through breathing exercises and different yoga postures, yoga provides overall health benefits to both body and mind.
Madhavi Singh, District Coordinator of the ‘CM Di Yogshala’ project, shared that regular yoga classes are being held in Hoshiarpur district. Yoga instructor Tulsi Ram Sahu is conducting classes at multiple locations, including West Enclave, Street No. 6, Dashmesh Nagar from 4:30 AM to 5:30 AM, Ashoka Park, Heera Colony from 5:40 AM to 6:40 AM, Bhagat Singh Nagar, Street No. 11 in the evening from 3:30 PM to 5:35 PM, and in front of Salwara Primary School and Baba Balak Nath Mandir, Subhash Nagar from 5:45 PM to 6:45 PM.
Madhavi Singh further informed that a total of 257 yoga classes are being conducted in the Hoshiarpur district. Yoga provides both physical and mental benefits through breathing exercises. It not only increases the body’s agility and strength but also offers mental relaxation, relief from stress, improved sleep, enhanced appetite, and better digestion. Yoga helps in calming the mind and improving focus, leading to a sense of positive energy and balance in life. She mentioned that a group of 25 participants is required to hold a yoga class, and people can benefit from the program by giving a missed call to 76694-00500. She added that under ‘CM Di Yogshala,’ free yoga training is being provided at chosen locations like parks and public spaces. The government has appointed yoga trainers who are visiting different areas of Hoshiarpur to raise awareness about yoga practices.
