Today, during the fourth day of Basant Panchami Kite Mela knockout competitions, a large number of women, school children and disabled people participated in the ground of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University and there is a lot of enthusiasm among them for kite flying. .
It is to be mentioned that the state level Basant Panchami Kite Mela is being organized by the district administration on February 10 and 11 and the knockout competitions are going on daily. On this occasion, they enjoyed the kite flying competitions being conducted by women and disabled people and also encouraged them for their competitions.
He said that while women and disabled people are neglected in many festivals and fairs of the society, the Punjab government and the district administration have done a great and honorable work by involving them in the Basant Mela. He said that today it is a great joy to see the skills of Mahilawa and Divyagajna in Kiting and a glimpse of a heritage fair has also been created. He said that we have full hope that the Basant Mela on February 10 and 11 will be even more special, so he appealed to all the residents of the district to participate in this fair.
Apart from this, Kite-flyer Costa, who came specially from Greece today, also showed kite-flying feats by flying different and attractive kites in the air, which was the center of special attraction for the audience present there. Free kites and kites are provided to women and persons with disabilities during the knockout competitions for kite flying competitions and at the end they are awarded with certificates.
