29 September 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau : India won the silver medal in the women’s trap team event at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with the trio of Neeru Dhanda, Aashima Ahlawat and Manisha Keer combining for a score of 328 points.
China claimed the gold medal with 346 points, while Kuwait secured bronze with 325 points. India finished three points ahead of Kuwait to secure its place on the podium.
Neeru produced India’s strongest individual performance, scoring 118 hits out of 125 in qualification. Aashima contributed 106 points, while Manisha added 104 as the Indian team reached a combined 328.
Neeru’s individual performance also earned her a place in the women’s trap individual final, where she will have another opportunity to compete for a medal.
The silver adds another medal to India’s shooting campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and marks another podium finish for Indian women’s trap shooting at the continental event.
