3 September 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau : Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups continued its downward trend at the Indian box office on Day 8, earning ₹5.10 crore net across all languages on Wednesday.
The Geetu Mohandas-directed film recorded a 35% drop from its Day 7 collection of ₹7.85 crore. Despite the weekday slowdown, Toxic has crossed the ₹320 crore mark worldwide, according to reported box-office figures.
‘Toxic’ Day 8 Collection
According to box-office estimates, Toxic collected ₹5.10 crore net in India on Day 8 from 12,432 shows.
The latest figure takes the film’s total India net collection to approximately ₹234.70 crore, while its India gross collection stands at around ₹280.25 crore.
The Day 8 figure represents a noticeable decline from the film’s earlier collections as it enters its second week in theatres.
35% Drop From Day 7
On Day 7, Toxic reportedly earned ₹7.85 crore net in India.
The ₹5.10 crore collection on Day 8 represents a decline of around 35%, making Wednesday one of the film’s weakest days since its release.
The film’s weekday performance will be closely watched ahead of the second weekend, when stronger audience turnout could provide some relief.
Worldwide Collection Crosses ₹322 Crore
Despite the slowdown in daily domestic earnings, Toxic continues to post a substantial worldwide total.
The film’s overseas collection stood at around ₹41.75 crore gross after eight days, including approximately ₹1 crore on Day 8.
Combined with its domestic gross, the film’s worldwide collection has reached approximately ₹322 crore.
Yash Film Had a Massive Opening
Toxic began its theatrical run with a huge opening, benefiting from Yash’s popularity following the success of the KGF franchise.
The film reportedly collected more than ₹100 crore net in India on its opening day, making it one of the biggest theatrical openings of the year.
However, the film experienced a sharp fall immediately after its first day, with weekday collections continuing to decline.
Mixed Reviews Affect Momentum
The film has received mixed reactions from critics and audiences.
While some viewers have praised its scale, performances and ambitious visual presentation, others have criticised its narrative and editing. The divided response has made the film’s ability to sustain its initial momentum an important box-office question.
