1 September 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau : US President Donald Trump has described Iran as an “officially failed nation” and declared that “it is dead,” while accusing the Iranian leadership of killing protesters during months of unrest.
Trump made the remarks in a post on Truth Social on August 31, amid renewed military tensions between Washington and Tehran.
Trump Accuses Tehran of Killing Protesters
Trump alleged that Iranian authorities had killed more than 100,000 protesters, describing the reported crackdown as one of the remaining signs of Tehran’s willingness to use violence against its own people.
