29 july 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan have summoned Iranian diplomats to formally protest alleged attacks that impacted their territories, marking a further escalation in regional tensions.
Both governments expressed strong concern over incidents they say violated their sovereignty and stressed the importance of respecting international law and regional stability.
Diplomatic Protests Lodged
The UAE and Jordan separately called in Iran’s ambassadors or senior diplomatic representatives to convey official protests over the reported attacks.
The two countries said such actions were unacceptable and urged Iran to prevent any activities that could threaten the security of neighbouring states.
Concerns Over Regional Stability
The diplomatic move comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, where recent military exchanges and cross-border incidents have increased concerns about wider regional instability.
Officials warned that continued escalation could undermine security and complicate diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions.
