The arrests are part of an ongoing crackdown on organized crime and the illegal weapons trade in the state.

According to police officials, the accused were allegedly involved in delivering illegal firearms directly to buyers, using discreet methods to avoid detection by law enforcement agencies. Acting on specific intelligence, police launched a targeted operation that led to the arrest of the suspects and the seizure of the weapons.

15 Illegal Pistols Recovered

During the raid, officers recovered 15 pistols believed to have been intended for illegal distribution. The police also seized ammunition and other material that may help investigators trace the source of the weapons and identify additional members of the alleged network.

The recovered firearms have been sent for forensic examination to determine whether they were used in previous criminal cases.

Probe Into Arms Supply Network

Investigators are examining the accused’s links with interstate arms suppliers and organized criminal groups. Police are also trying to identify the intended recipients of the seized weapons and determine whether the accused supplied firearms in other districts of Punjab.

Officials said further arrests are possible as the investigation progresses.

Police Continue Crackdown

Punjab Police reiterated their commitment to dismantling illegal arms trafficking networks and preventing weapons from reaching criminal elements. Senior officers said intelligence-based operations against organized crime will continue across the state.

A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Arms Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused will be produced before the court, and police are expected to seek their custodial remand for further interrogation.
