Gurdaspur May 7 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): A loud explosion occurred near the village of Pandher on the Gurdaspur-Tibbi road at around 1:30 AM, causing a tremor in the area. While people are understandably frightened, their spirits remain high. Upon receiving the information, police officers along with the bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene and are currently examining the remnants of the bomb.

The remnants of the bomb were scattered over nearly 2 acres of land, and the police have cordoned off the area completely. No official is willing to comment on the matter yet as it is unclear how the bomb exploded, where it came from, and who threw it. Locals reported that when the explosion occurred at around 1:30 AM, there was no sound of any aircraft or other vehicle in the sky. People were frightened throughout the night, and in the morning, they discovered bomb fragments scattered across the fields.

When contacted, District Police Chief Aditya stated that he himself had visited the scene and investigations at all levels are underway. He mentioned that it is difficult to comment at this point. He reassured the public not to be fearful and assured them that the police are committed to ensuring their safety. He also requested the media to adhere to the prescribed guidelines.
