Batala, 4th February (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Under the leadership of Chief Minister of Punjab, S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, and Punjab’s School Education Minister, S. Harjot Singh Bains, special initiatives are being undertaken to further elevate the standard of education in the state. While making this announcement, Batala’s young MLA and Aam Aadmi Party Punjab’s Executive President, Aman Sher Singh Sherry Kalsi, stated that with the aim of raising the standard of school education in the state, the Punjab Government has decided to send 36 school principals for a five-day training to Singapore.
MLA Sherry Kalsi further explained that under the Leadership Development Program, 198 principals and education officers from Punjab have already received training at the Principals Academy in Singapore. This year, the seventh batch of 36 school principals will be sent to Singapore in March as part of this program. He added that in order to provide international-level training to teachers, school heads, and education managers working at various levels in the education department, a “International Education Affairs Cell (IEAC)” has been established at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).
MLA Sherry Kalsi further elaborated that the trip to Singapore for the principals is designed to offer them a comprehensive training experience focused on enhancing their leadership and academic skills. He mentioned that during their visit to Singapore, they will participate in various workshops, seminars, and activities that will provide them with insights into the advanced teaching techniques and educational practices adopted in Singapore’s schools.
