Agniveer Martyred

Mansa, January 24, 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Agniveer Lovepreet Singh, a resident of Akaliya village in Mansa, was martyred in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. According to the information, Lovepreet Singh was shot by terrorists during his duty and became a martyr. His mortal remains will arrive at his village, Akaliya, this afternoon, where his last rites will be performed with full state honors.

As per reports, 24-year-old Lovepreet was stationed in the Narinder Medium Regiment Unit and had joined the Indian Army under the Agniveer scheme two years ago. According to his family, Lovepreet spoke to his parents two days ago and informed them about his duty. His family shared that a confrontation with terrorists occurred yesterday afternoon at 3 PM in Kupwara.

During the encounter, Lovepreet Singh was injured and was taken to the hospital by army personnel, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Jasveer Singh, the Sarpanch of Akaliya village, said that Lovepreet Singh was a very talented young man who made the village proud by joining the Indian Army as an Agniveer and sacrificing his life for the nation.
