Bathinda, January 9: Republic Day will be celebrated with full grandeur at the local Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sports Stadium on January 26, 2025. This information was shared by Additional Deputy Commissioner Madam Poonam Singh while chairing a special meeting with officials to discuss preparations for the district-level event.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the event, the Additional Deputy Commissioner instructed officials from various departments to carry out their assigned duties with full dedication and honesty, without any negligence.
On this occasion, the Additional Deputy Commissioner further instructed the relevant authorities to complete all arrangements on time. She directed the Commissioner Office and Municipal Corporation officials to ensure cleanliness of restrooms inside and outside the sports stadium. She emphasized the arrangements for clean drinking water, medical teams, barricading, stage setup, stadium decorations, and the preparation of cultural programs, PT shows, parade, and tableaux by schoolchildren.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rampura Phul, Shri Gagandeep Singh, District Development and Panchayat Officer S. Gurpreet Singh Gill, along with other officials and their representatives, were also present at the meeting.
