Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday claimed that during the US presidential elections, President-elect Donald Trump and Kamala Harris were dependent on India. Talking to reporters in Gwalior, Yadav said that all the superpowers of the world want to connect with India. Yadav said, “Our Prime Minister is a benefactor and India has also shown the world the strength of its democracy. Today any big superpower sees its benefit in connecting with India. We have seen this in the US presidential elections that whether it is Trump or Harris, both were dependent on India. We are happy that Trump, elected for the post of President, has been a personal friend of Modi ji. The Russian President is also looking towards India.

He said that nobody can measure the depth of Modi’s popularity in India, as a result of which he has formed the government for the third consecutive time in the country after a gap of 60 years. The Chief Minister expressed hope for the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand as well as in the by-elections on Budhni and Vijaypur assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh.

Regarding the by-elections to be held on Budhni and Vijaypur assembly seats, he said that people in Budhni and Vijaypur assembly seats are with development. He said that BJP candidate from Vijaypur, Ramniwas Rawat has been a six-time MLA and minister from Congress. Yadav said that Rawat left Congress due to failure to develop the area despite being a minister and joined BJP for development. By-elections are to be held here as the assembly seat became vacant after the state forest minister Rawat resigned from the post of MLA. Earlier on Sunday evening, Yadav addressed a public meeting in support of Rawat on Vijaypur assembly seat.
