Chandigarh- There are panchayat elections in the state on October 15. Out of total 178 panchayats in Samrala Constituency, 57 Panchayats have been elected unanimously which is about 33% of 178 Panchayats of Samrala Constituency. Residents of village Tapriya of Machhiwara block have gathered that they have unanimously elected five members of Panchayat including Sarpanch, in which two women will also be Panch. Not only this, the first unanimously elected panchayat of Punjab is village Taprian of Samrala Constituency. Among the total panchayats in Samrala constituency in Punjab, the figure of unanimity is also the highest.

On this occasion, Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Samrala Constituency Jagtar Singh Dayalpura said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh was impressed by Mann and 57 Panchayats out of 178 Panchayats of Samrala Constituency have been unanimously elected for the development of villages. Samrala constitutes 33% of the total panchayats of the constituency and it is a matter of great happiness that 33 percent of the panchayats in one constituency have been elected unanimously.

MLA Jagtar Singh Dayalpura said that the number of unanimous panchayats in Samrala constituency could increase in the coming days.
