12 september 2024 : To tackle the ongoing issue of drug abuse, the Faridkot police are engaging with residents through public meetings in villages and local neighborhoods. During these meetings, Faridkot SSP Dr. Pragya Jain is seeking community support to address drug smuggling and consumption in the district.
Dr. Jain emphasized that if residents actively inform and assist the police, it could lead to significant improvements in combating drug-related issues. This initiative includes a special campaign aimed at curbing drug traffickers and smugglers. The SSP urged members of the village defense committees (VDC) to report any drug-related activities to the local SHOs.
The meetings, held at Jaito town, are designed to strengthen community involvement in the fight against drugs and enhance cooperation between the public and law enforcement.
