April 24 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal’s strictness is starting to show. There has been a 5-fold increase in wheat lifting in two days. On April 21, where the agencies of the district had lifted 4095 metric tons of wheat, on April 22 this figure reached 12236 metric tons and yesterday on April 23, the agencies lifted 23493 metric tons of wheat. It is to be mentioned that since the last two days, the Deputy Commissioner himself has been visiting the markets, godowns day and night and supervising the purchase arrangements himself.

On the other hand, the Deputy Commissioner of Fazilka, Dr. Senu Duggal, held a meeting with the officials of various procurement agencies, reviewed the procurement arrangements for wheat and ordered the officials to speed up the lifting of wheat.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the officials should ensure that no farmer faces any problem in Mandia He said that the purchasing agencies should also ensure that the lifting targets are met according to the purchase of wheat He strongly warned the transport contractor to provide trucks and labor as per the demand of the agencies.

On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that till now a total of 252455 metric tons of wheat has arrived in the markets and 232782 metric tons of wheat has been purchased. Pangrain has procured 59151 MT, Markfed 69020 MT, PNSP 60121 MT, Punjab State Warehouse Corporation 34998 MT, FCI 1200 MT and Traders 8292 MT.
The Deputy Commissioner said that as per the rule of payment of wheat purchased in 48 hours, Rs 335.7 crore has been paid against the due payment of Rs 292 crore, which means that the amount has reached the farmers’ accounts in less than 48 hours after the sale of wheat. has been
