April 24 (Punjab Khabarnama) : District Magistrate Smt. Parneet Shergill, using the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), by the Gujjars/shepherds/ordinary persons in large quantities of cows/buffaloes/sheep/goats etc., in the cities of District Fatehgarh Sahib. / Orders have been issued to impose a complete ban on grazing on roadsides in towns and villages. He said that Gujjars/shepherds move around in cities/towns and villages with huge number of cows/buffaloes/sheep/goats etc. which damage people’s crops and roadside plantations.

These saplings are planted by the government and social service organizations under various schemes, which make the surrounding of cities and villages clean and beautiful and also keep the environment green. When these animals graze on the roads, where the beauty of the cities/villages is damaged, the common people also face a lot of problems because of the movement of these animals on the roads, many kinds of accidents occur, causing many lives and property losses. happens Therefore, grazing of cows/buffaloes/sheep/goats on the roadsides of cities/towns and villages within the limits of District Fatehgarh Sahib will be strictly prohibited. These orders will remain in force till June 23, 2024.
