So far, 19,0193 metric tons of wheat has been purchased out of 22,1799 metric tons of wheat.
April 24 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Deputy Commissioner Mr. Vinit Kumar visited Dana Mandi Faridkot and instructed the procurement agencies to speed up the lifting of wheat purchased in the mandis. Meanwhile, he also instructed the concerned officials to ensure that the farmers who came to sell wheat in the mandis do not face any kind of trouble.
Mr. Vineet Kumar said that till now 22,1799 metric tons of wheat has arrived in the markets of the district and out of which 19,0193 metric tons of wheat has been purchased. He said that till now 46,079 metric tons of wheat has been purchased by Pangrain. Similarly, 56,165 metric tons of wheat have been purchased by Markfed, 42,085 by Pansap, 28,503 by Punjab State Warehouse Corporation and 17,558 metric tons by traders.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also said that one grain of wheat will be bought in the markets. He appealed to the farmers not to harvest wheat with combines at night and he also said that the environment should be protected from pollution by not setting fire to wheat residues and husks.
