Officers and students of various departments took out an awareness rally under the sweep

April 24 (Punjab Khabarnama) : During the Lok Sabha Election 2024, on the occasion of the biggest festival of democracy, on June 1, every voter should make sure to use his voter without any pressure, greed or fear so that every voter can prove that he is a conscientious citizen.

This was expressed by Rajpal Singh Sekhon Sub Divisional Magistrate cum Assistant Returning Officer Mr. Anandpur Sahib while addressing the officers/employees of various departments and school students participating in the voter awareness rally under the sweep activity at Panj Pyaara Park. This awareness rally was flagged off by Governor Sekhon from Tehsil Office Sri Anandpur Sahib at 10.30 am and the rally passed through Bhagat Ravidas Chowk and ended at Panj Pyaara Park, where voters and school students formed a human chain and chanted “Vote for Shore 1”. June 2024” aptly illustrated. On this occasion NCC Asfar Ranjit Singh took the oath to exercise the right to vote during the oath-taking ceremony. In the rally held in various markets, the students held banners and posters to educate the voters under sweep activities.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate said that awareness camps are being conducted to motivate the voters to exercise their vote as much as possible. The sweep activities are being implemented more effectively, the process is generating enthusiasm among voters. He said that they are being encouraged to increase the maximum vote percentage, to vote impartially, to vote free from fear and greed, thus ensuring compliance with the instructions of the Election Commission. He said that the program has been drawn up for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, everyone should use their right to vote, this will strengthen the democratic structure of our country.
