April 18 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Ludhiana court has awarded death sentence to Neelam, the woman accused in the murder case of two and a half year old girl Dilroz. The case is of 2021, the parents of the deceased girl were waiting for the decision of Ludhiana Court for the last three dates, which finally arrived today. As soon as the court announced its verdict, the entire family of the deceased girl wept bitterly.

On November 28, 2021, in Shimlapuri area, two and a half year old innocent little Dilroz was brutally murdered by a woman living in the neighborhood, who kidnapped Dilroz on the pretext of chocolate and buried him alive by putting soil in his mouth. The deceased girl’s father Harpreet Singh works as a constable in Punjab Police. He has a son who is 5 years old and a daughter Dilroz who is two and a half years old. On Sunday afternoon, Dil Roz was playing outside her house when she suddenly disappeared. The family members searched for the girl at many places but could not find her, so they checked the CCTV cameras.

It was revealed that Neelam, the woman from her neighborhood, had taken Dil Rose with her on a scooty. When they went and asked Neelam, she did not give the correct answer, due to which the family members became suspicious. When the police searched the cameras and during interrogation, Neelam confessed that it was she who took the girl on the scooter and went straight to Salem Tabri, where she buried the girl alive in a field. On hearing this, the police team immediately put Neelam in the car and reached there, dug out the girl and immediately took her to DMC Hospital, where she died.

Neelam had a grudge over children’s fight
The female accused Neelam was divorced and was living with her maternal family along with her two children. She often quarreled with people in the area. Due to which the residents of the area were very worried. Neelam’s family had sold this house and were about to shift to some other place. On Sunday, half the stuff in the house was shifted and the remaining stuff was to be shifted. It so happened that a long time ago there was a fight between the children of Harpreet and Neelam. After that there was a lot of altercation between Harpreet’s family and Neelam but the matter was calmed down due to mutual concern between the people. Neelam was harboring this grudge in her mind, she was looking for an opportunity to harm Harpreet’s family. He made innocent Dilrose his target.
