Ludhiana, March 5 (Punjab khabarnama) : Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney held a review meeting on Tuesday to assess the progress of various development projects undertaken by different departments in the district. The Deputy Commissioner checked the physical and financial status of the projects, which included the construction of community halls, renovation of ponds, building of new libraries, carpeting of new roads and streets, and setting up Aam Aadmi Clinics in various parts of the district. The officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the current situation and achievements of the ongoing projects.
The DC instructed the officials to expedite the speed of all ongoing works to ensure completion within the given timeframe. She further asked them to utilize all available resources to get the work done without any hindrances, so that people could benefit from the developmental projects. Sawhney also emphasized the need for better coordination between departments to resolve developmental bottlenecks. She also reiterated that the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, was making strenuous efforts for the development of Ludhiana and every official must discharge their duties with full sincerity and diligence.
Prominent officials present at the meeting included Assistant Commissioner Krishna Pal Rajpoot, SDMs Gurbir Singh Kohli and Vikas Hira, DDPO Navdeep Kaur, Civil Surgeon Dr Jasbir Singh Aulakh, and others.
