Chandigarh, March 1, 2024 (Punjab khabarnama) – Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Anil Vij stated that 500 health and wellness centres, including yoga centres, will be established across the state. This initiative has been provisioned in the budget, Vij Informed.
Health Minister, Vij stated that the scope of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana has been expanded to cover more beneficiaries. The aim is to focus on preventive healthcare through Ayush Systems of Medicine, rather than just treatment.
He also mentioned that cashless health facilities have been implemented for all regular government employees since January 1, 2024. This move aims to reduce the financial burden of healthcare expenses on employees.
He further informed that 556 empaneled hospitals have been included, and 1340 treatment packages have been integrated into the scheme’s portal.
This expansion will fulfill the long-pending demand of government employees and provide significant relief in bearing the healthcare costs of their families.He said that from last year, the benefits of Chirayu-Ayushman Bharat Yojana had been started in the state also to those families whose annual income as per PPP was between Rs. 1.80 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh.
For this they have to pay an annual payment of Rs 1500. But now the benefits of Chirayu-Ayushman Bharat Yojana has been extended to families with annual incomes ranging from Rs. 3-6 lakh.
Those in the income bracket of Rs. 3-6 lakh will pay an annual contribution of Rs. 4000, and those earning over Rs. 6 lakh annually will contribute Rs. 5000 per year, to avail the benefits of the Chirayu-Ayushman Bharat scheme.
He also highlighted the commencement of kidney transplantation by the Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak in 2023 and the forthcoming initiation of liver transplantation facilty, for which approvals have been given.
These initiatives aim to enhance healthcare accessibility and affordability for the residents of Haryana, ultimately contributing to their overall well-being.
