Batala , February 13 (Punjab khabarnama) : As per the guidelines of Civil Surgeon Gurdaspur Dr. Harbhajan Ram Mandi and under the guidance of Dr. Ravinder Singh SMO at Mata Sulakhni Civil Hospital Batala , Visv Kaiser Divas by NCD Team Batala. To celebrate, cancer awareness seminars were organized in various schools at Government Senior Secondary Girls School Dharamsala Batala and Government C:Sc: Girls School Gandhi Cap Batala.
Dr. Mandeep Kaur told the staff and students of the school that cancer disease is increasing in recent days , which has many reasons , such as misuse of chemicals , excessive use of cigarettes , marijuana and tobacco , low intake of fiber diet, etc.
Dr. Mandeep Kaur said that cancer is a disease , which can occur in any part of the body. Cervical cancer and breast cancer are very common in women. Punjab government conducts screening tests for women over 30 years of age for cervix and breast . He told that the disease can be found and controlled by early screening of women. Apart from this, lung , throat , bladder , intestines , skin cancer is very common. Cancer of the mouth, throat , tongue , lungs , bladder caused by tobacco consumption is very common nowadays . Getting it treated on time can make life better.
