Rupnagar, February 08 (Punjab khabarnama) : Under the National Road Safety Month being celebrated as per the guidelines of the Director Higher Education Department Punjab and Program Coordinator National Service Plan Punjabi University Patiala Rotary Club Rupnagar, District Traffic Police Rupnagar Principal Jatinder of Government College Ropar NSS, NCC under the patronage of Singh Gill. And a traffic awareness seminar was organized by Red Ribbon Club in which Chief Guest SDM Nangal and Regional Transport Officer Rupnagar Mrs. Anamjot Kaur participated.
Addressing on this occasion, SDM Nangal and Regional Transport Officer Rupnagar Mrs. Anamjot Kaur said that to follow the traffic rules, they appealed to create awareness in the society to take care of ‘me, you and them’ and follow them. .
Principal Government College Ropar Jatinder Singh Gill welcomed the guests with a bouquet of flowers and encouraged the students to create traffic awareness among the common people.
Rotary Club President Dr. Namrata Parmar informed the students about the various activities of Rotary and informed about the contribution made by the Rotary Club for social service.
Eminent social worker and past district governor of Rotary Dr. RS Parmar appreciated the awareness seminar conducted by the Rotary Club and Government College and also shared some tips to solve the traffic problem.
Dr. JK Sharma, Director, Vocational Service, Rotary Club was the keynote speaker. Jaspal Singh Maan was introduced and appealed to the students to create awareness among the general public about traffic.
The main speaker of the seminar Jaspal Singh Mann shared many points to streamline the efforts being made by the government to solve the traffic problem and urged strict implementation of the policies to solve the traffic problem.
S. Didar Singh, ASI District Traffic Police Rupnagar informed the students about the traffic signs and encouraged them to follow them.
Chief guest Mrs. Anamjot Kaur and president of Rotary Club Dr. Namrata Parmar was honored.
