Legal Services Authority to create awareness about the POCSO Act. Also Organized camp at M School

Shri Muktsar Sahib 7 February (Punjab khabarnama) : As per the instructions of Executive Chairman, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Sandhawalia, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, Mr. Raj Kumar District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, under the leadership of Mr. Muktsar Sahib, Ms. Harpreet Kaur, C.J. .M Cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority by D. Also A camp was organized at M Public School Udekaran.
In this regard, the students were given information about the various schemes of the POCSO Act and NALSA and the school staff were also made aware about sexual harassment.
On this occasion, Madam Harpreet Kaur also informed the school children about good touch and bad touch and their rights. Their problems were heard and they were told that they can come to the District Court Complex, Sri Muktsar Sahib and take legal advice/assistance.
On this occasion, the District Child Protection Officer Dr. Shivani Nagpal also showed a documentary film on the POCSO Act to the students.
Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Mrs. Harpreet Kaur said that maximum number of cases should be filed in the upcoming National Lok Adalat on March 9, 2024. In that, to get their case settled in Lok Adalat, they can apply to the concerned court to get their case settled.
