Cabinet Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government is running projects worth about 2 thousand crore rupees related to drinking water in the state, including surface water, tube wells, water tanks etc. are He was addressing the residents of the area today while laying the foundation stone of the 25 thousand liter tank, new solar system and water meter which is going to be built at a cost of 25 lakh rupees in the village of New Bank Colony. Meanwhile, Mayor Surinder Kumar, Hoshiarpur Central Cooperative Bank Chairman Vikram Sharma and Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini were also present with him.
The Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab government is leaving no stone unturned for the overall development of the state, especially for providing clean drinking water to the people. He said that in just two years, maximum drinking water tubewells and water tanks have been installed in rural areas, which shows the commitment of the government. He said that with the construction of a water tank in the village, people will not have to face the problem of water after the electricity goes off, because the capacity of the water tank is 25 thousand liters, which is enough according to the population of the area. He said that along with this, solar system is also being installed, so that even after the power goes out, people continue to get uninterrupted water.
Meanwhile, Bram Shankar Jimpa also heard the problems of the local residents and assured that the basic problems of the area will be solved as soon as possible.
