Fatehgarh Sahib , February 03 (Punjab khabarnama) : District Magistrate Mrs. Parneet Shergill organized criminal proceedings Section of 1973 By using the powers obtained under 144 , the responsibility of the village panchayats and the heads of committees , boards and trusts of religious places has been imposed to keep a proper watch on all religious places within the limits of Fatehgarh Sahib district until further orders. This has been done because there have been incidents of desecration by mischievous elements at religious places in the past. Due to this, tension arises in the area and there is a fear of loss of life and property of people. In these circumstances, it is important to maintain the dignity of religious places in villages and towns so that the safety of religious places and the religious sentiments of people are not harmed. He said that there is an urgent need to take appropriate steps to maintain law and order in the district and to protect lives and property of people and religious places.
