Hoshiarpur, January 30 (Punjab Khabarnama): District Planning Committee Hoshiarpur Chairperson Karamjeet Kaur today distributed checks worth Rs 12,23 thousand related to various development works in the district. He told that in the amount released today, Rs 8 lakh for installation of submersible pump in Government Senior Secondary School Manhota, Rs 1 lakh to BDPO Hajipur, Rs 2 lakh to Executive Engineer Panchayati Raj Hoshiarpur and Rs 2 lakh to Government Elementary School. Rs 1 lakh is included for shed in Dharampur. He told that even before this an amount of about Rs 51 lakh has been released for development works and till now a total development amount of Rs 62 lakh has been given for different works in the district.
Chairperson District Planning Committee said that the demands of the people are being seen at the ground level and funds for development work are being allocated as per the need. He said that the District Planning Committee is making every effort to solve the basic problems on an initiative basis.
