Every effort should be made to reach the canal water to the farmers and those who are under occupation should be released and water should be brought to the end of the fields so that all the farmers can benefit from it. On this occasion he was accompanied by Jai Krishan Singh Rowdy Deputy Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Santosh Kataria MLA Balachore, Dr. Ravjot Singh MLA, Karambir Ghuman MLA, Jasbir Singh Rajagill MLA, Raj Kumar MLA, Chairman Ranjit Singh Cheema, District President and Chairman District Planning Board Satnam Chechi Jalalpur, Chairman Nagar Reform Trust Satnam Singh Jalwaha, Constituency Incharge Nawanshahr Lalit Mohan Pathak, Constituency Incharge Banga Kuljit Sarhal was also present.
Cabinet Minister Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that for the welfare of farmers and as part of an effort to save underground water, the Punjab government has restarted 15,825 canals that have been closed for decades, with which canal water has reached many tails after decades. He said that the canal water should be conveyed to the fields through maximum ditches and as little ground water as possible should be used.
Meanwhile, while giving instructions to the officials of various departments related to his department, he asked them to speed up their work and gave instructions to bring transparency in their work.
