June 3 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Police of Shimlapuri police station have registered separate cases on the charges of violating the rules of the Election Commission and trying to spoil the atmosphere. After investigation, the police have taken action against the workers of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. Police have registered a case against Avtar Singh, resident of Kot Mangal Singh, on the statements of ASI Jaswinder Singh.

According to the police, when their team was present outside ITI College near Gill Road, Avtar Singh was roaming around with Congress party flags and banners on his car, which included 8 other vehicles, from the Gill canal bridge side, even though the election campaign had ended. In this way, the said people have violated the rules of the Election Commission. Similarly, in another case, the same team has taken action against Balveer Singh, resident of Hasanpur village.

The police officer said that when his police party was present near Mad ki Chakki during patrolling, Balveer Singh was riding his car from the side of Baba Mukand Singh School, along with him 4 other vehicles were also present who had put the flags and posters of Aam Aadmi Party on their vehicles and were campaigning even after the election campaign was stopped and were trying to spoil the atmosphere. Action was taken by registering a case against the accused for violating the rules of the Honorable Election Commission.
